Q: Can I use Anairc in a non-local network?
A: Well Anairc will run, but your internet provider will not be so glad.
If you really want to do that, you must use the IP addr of another user, not an IP wich ends with 255.
You will also need to open the port in your firewall and the chat will allow only two users.
Q: Can i run two sessions of Anairc?
A: No. They will attempt to use the same network port and this is not possible.
Q: Can i modify the code of Anairc to fit my needs?
A: Of course, it is GPL licensed. Keep in mind that if you change the way it interacts
with other clients, you will unable to comunicate with them.
Q: Which is the port used by Anairc?
A: 5000
Q: Why can't I change my nickname after my login?
A: Because it would require more code, and actually I am developing necessary features.
Q: I am tired of replacing the broadcast address with the one used in my network. Is there a way to do it faster?
A: Yes. You can put the broadcast IP address of your network as a paramether in the commandline.
Q: Why don't you release precompiled jar file?
A: Anairc is still a beta. I don't wanna provide help to dummies, and releasing only the source code is an easy way
to prevent them from using anairc.
Q: How do I close a tab?
A: By selecting the tab and clicking on the button to close the window. Only the selected tab will be closed.
If you select
the tab with the public room, the entire application will be closed.
